I am very sad to report the passing of my Dad.
William Charles Gillick
Devoted husband and Father passed away peacefully surrounded
by his family, January 28, 2013 age 73.
Bill had been dealing with a complex neurological disease -multiple
system atrophy for the last 5
years. He was extremely strong and his
zeal for life gave him the determination to survive longer than most.
Son of Joyce and Lawrence (1981), survived by loving wife
Linda, daughter Tracey, son-in-law Ian McKernan, and son Todd , daughter-in-law Tannis, Betty Gillick Mother of Tracey and Todd.
Loving Grandfather to;
Joanna, Alison, Stephanie, Kirstie, William, Marcus, Ben, Kyle.
Predeceased by his sister Anna.
Bill was a lifelong Electrician and 50 year member of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He spent his early career with Sutherland Shultz in
Kitchener-Waterloo and 30 years with Ford Motor Company of Canada -Oakville
Plant. Bill retired in 2002 from Ford
as an Automation electrician.
Many will also of know him as the owner of Klear Water Pool
Service, Cambridge. A business he operated for 24 years.
Bill was the Past-Master of the New Hope Masonic Lodge, and
a loyal 30 year brother.
Bill had many interests, his love of music led him to become
a drummer and sing in the church choir.
He was always the first one on the dance floor and loved all kinds of
music. It was his music that keep him
going.
Bill greatly enjoyed his family and traveling the
world. Adventure and new experiences were
his passion. Whether skiing Chicopee or
Val Cenis in the French Alps;
Motorcycling the Cabot Trail or the Black Hills of Sturgis South Dakota;
Camping at Sombra on the Detroit River or making the winter journey to
Brownsville Texas, his love of life always shone through. Bill was a very kind and caring man with a
great admiration for nature and animals.
Bill would often be found walking his favourite dog Webster. He
will be forever remembered with joy, laughter and love.
Visitation Thursday February 7th, 2013, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Lounsbury Funeral Home 1766 Franklin
Blvd, Cambridge, Ontario.
You are warmly welcomed to attend a celebration of Bill's
life on Saturday February 9, 2013 at 11:30 am, at St. James Anglican Church,
520 Ellis Road, Cambridge(Hespeler)
